Jesus said, "WHEN YOU WELCOME EVEN A CHILD BECAUSE OF ME, YOU WELCOME ME, AND WHEN YOU WELCOME, YOU WELCOME THE ONE WHO SENT ME, WHICHEVER ONE OF YOU IS THE MOST HUMBLE IS THE GREATEST" Luke 9:48
I, Charles Chandran, was born in a traditional Hindu family and I did not know the Lord. In my village there was very strong idol worship and we were also part of that. We used to go to Hindu temples and worship the sun everyday with strong belief.
When I was six years old my father died. After that we were suffering from poverty. My whole family was helpless and we did not go where to go and what our future will be. There was nobody to take care of our basic needs.
Having lost my father, I was admitted in a primary school which was near our village. In that school I met few Christian children who were singing songs about Jesus Christ. After hearing those songs, I started questioning who Jesus was. Many doubts rose up in my heart. I was so attracted by those happy children that I wanted to become like them. So I went and saw the pastor of those children. He admitted me in his orphanage. I started studying well and also came to know about Jesus very well. When I was 12 years old, I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior was baptized and was very much interested in all activities in our local church. Because I was grown up with the children in the orphanage I could know about their needs personally and my heart was filled with compassion of reaching the children through out my life time.
I married to Jeeva and we have Son Jimson Zachariah (12 yrs) and daughter Jerin Charlina (9 yrs).
